How ProductBump works

Rankings here aren't based on empty upvotes — they're powered by real revenue, or by genuine outbound clicks for ad-supported products.

📝
Step 1

Submit your product

Fill out a short form with your product name, tagline, description, and website URL. It takes under 2 minutes.

Step 2

Connect a revenue source (or skip it for ads)

Selling directly? Paste a restricted Stripe API key — we use it to register a webhook on your account so we can count revenue, never touching your funds or customer data. Building a mobile app? Connect RevenueCat instead to track in-app purchases and subscriptions. Monetizing through ads? Choose "Ads / clicks" at submission and skip this step entirely.

📈
Step 3

Generate real traction

Every payment to your product automatically adds to your revenue total. Ad-supported products track real outbound clicks to the site instead. Either way: no fake numbers, no gaming.

🏆
Step 4

Make room for the next product

Once you hit your revenue goal, your spot on the homepage opens up for another product. You've proven traction — now it's someone else's turn.

Why revenue (or clicks)?

Real revenue is the truest signal of traction for products that sell directly — it filters out noise and rewards products people actually pay for. But plenty of great products make money through ads instead, where Stripe revenue doesn't apply. For those, we track real outbound clicks to the site — still a genuine signal that people are engaging, not a vanity metric like upvotes.

While you're in the queue

Every product starts with a $50 revenue goal (or 500 clicks, for ad-supported products). While your product is waiting in the queue (not yet on the homepage), commenting on someone else's product adds $5 — or 50 clicks — to your own goal, so spend that waiting time engaging thoughtfully, not spamming. Once your product is featured, its goal is locked in for that cycle.
